Fala sem Fronteiras is a Portuguese clinic providing speech therapy and clinical psychology. We are registered with the Entidade Reguladora da Saúde, the national health regulator, under number 43669. Every practitioner holds an active professional licence from either the ACSS or the Portuguese Psychologists Association.
Sessions are delivered online across the world and at home in the Lisbon and Aveiro districts. All clinical work is conducted in European Portuguese.
Burnout does not show up as a line in the accounts.
It shows up as extended sick leave, as turnover that forces you to recruit twice for the same role, as mistakes made by people who are present but not really there.

Two things no standard EAP offers.
Most employee assistance programmes sell access to a platform and a short triage call. We provide clinical treatment, and we cover ground they do not.
Speech therapy for employees’ children
A four-year-old who cannot make herself understood affects the parent sitting in your meeting. No conventional EAP covers paediatric speech therapy. Parents value this out of all proportion to what it costs you.
Voice as a working tool
For sales teams, trainers, contact centres and cabin crew. Prevention of vocal pathology delivered by licensed speech therapists, not by generalist communication coaches.

You pay for it. You learn nothing about who used it.
A programme employees do not trust is a programme nobody uses. Our policy is deliberately restrictive, and it is written into the protocol rather than into a marketing page.
What you receive, and what you never receive
You receive: total sessions delivered and overall uptake rate, so you can assess return on investment.
You never receive: names, clinical content, diagnoses, presenting problems, or any breakdown by team, department or role.
Reports are issued only above a minimum number of distinct users, so that individuals can never be inferred. Our psychologists are bound by the Code of Ethics of the Portuguese Psychologists Association, and data is processed under the GDPR with the clinic as data controller.

Are sessions delivered in English?
No. All clinical work is conducted in European Portuguese. This is deliberate: therapy in a second language forces people to translate emotion before sharing it, and precision is lost in that step. The programme is designed for Portuguese-speaking employees, which in practice covers the large majority of workforces based in Portugal. This page is in English because the person evaluating the benefit is often not the person using it.
We are a small team. Is it worth it?
Yes. There is no minimum headcount and no setup fee, so the discount protocol makes sense from one person upwards. It is the most common option among companies with fewer than thirty employees.
How do we know it is being used?
For company-funded options we issue an aggregated usage report covering session volume and uptake rate. It never contains names, clinical content or any breakdown by team, and it is only issued above a minimum number of distinct users.
Does it cover employees’ families?
It can, if you set it out in the protocol. This is where we see the highest uptake, particularly speech therapy for employees’ children, which conventional employee assistance programmes do not cover.
What about employees based outside Portugal?
Online sessions work anywhere in the world and are delivered in European Portuguese. The booking platform converts available slots to each person’s local time zone automatically. This matters for organisations with distributed Portuguese-speaking teams.
Are there tax implications?
Health benefits granted to employees on a general basis may qualify for favourable tax treatment in Portugal as social utility expenditure. The conditions are specific and we are not tax advisers, so please confirm with your accountants before choosing an option.
How quickly can this start?
The discount protocol can be live within days. Options involving a session pool or a wellbeing programme need a short scoping conversation first, but rarely take more than two to three weeks.
Is there a lock-in period?
No. The discount protocol has no minimum term and can be terminated at any time. Session pools are valid for twelve months but carry no renewal obligation.
